Introduction
This guide will teach you how to access, remove, and replace your iRobot Roomba 870 battery.
What you need

To access the iRobot Roomba 870 battery pack, first flip the Roomba upside down.

Then find the battery pack cover that is located in the space between the caster wheel, side brush, and vacuum.

Use a Phillips #0 screwdriver to remove the two 3.5mm screws on the battery pack cover.

Remove the loose battery cover to access the battery compartment.

Use the yellow tabs, located on the short ends of the battery pack, to gently pull the battery up and out of its slot.

Follow the steps in reverse order for reassembly.
