Remove the lid and note where the old hinges used to be.
Remove any remaining hardware.
Clean the area if needed.

Position the hinges in the same spots as the old ones, aligning them with the existing holes on both the lid and the base.
Double-check the alignment to ensure the lid closes straight.

Hold the lid in place and use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to secure four screws into each hinge on the back of the lid.
Hold the hinge steady as you tighten the screws. It may help to have someone hold the lid while you secure the screws.

Slowly open and close the lid to make sure it moves smoothly and the hinges hold properly.
Tighten any screws that feel loose.
