Video Guide
This guide was transcribed from a YouTube video.

What you need

    • Wear safety glasses and cut-resistant gloves before working around broken cooktop glass.

    • Inspect each surface element through the damaged glass for obvious cracks or other heavy damage.

    • Replace any badly damaged element before installing the new glass.

    • Even a small element crack can spread and damage the replacement glass.

    • Find the model and serial label on the range and verify model YWEE745H0LZ1 before ordering parts.

    • Confirm that the replacement cooktop glass is part number W11112610 for this model.

    • Inspect the new glass, all four corners, and the perimeter gasket for shipping damage before installation.

    • Turn all surface controls off and let the cooktop cool completely.

    • Lay an appliance glide, sheet, or cardboard in front of the range to protect the floor.

    • Pull the range straight out from the cabinet.

    • Unplug the range before removing any panels.

    • If the plug is inaccessible, turn off the range circuit breaker before continuing.

    • Move the range carefully so it does not tip or strain the power cord.

    • Inspect the wiring behind the control panel before reinstalling the bullnose cover.

    • Do not restore power if any wire is loose or disconnected.

    • Orient the plastic cover so the two side brackets line up with their slots.

    • Reposition the cover if it does not sit correctly, because it will not fit if it is flipped or misaligned.

    • Hold the cover in place and reinstall the three screws.
