Water tank empty

Introduction

Go to step 1 ↓

On my Siemens steamer, I kept getting the error message after about 5 years that the water tank was empty. But it was full! After measuring the water sensor (analog signal 0-5V), I noticed that the power plug was relatively warm. It was replaced and the steamer was working again. I must add that the Swiss adapter (likely of Chinese origin) was to blame and had a contact resistance of almost 30 ohms on one pole.
