Introduction
This guide explains how to remove and replace the lithium-ion battery in Crossfade wireless headphones. Although the headphones are built with durable hardware, the internal electronics are less reliable, and the small battery can wear out over time.
Before replacing the battery due to Bluetooth issues, make sure the battery is actually the problem. If the headphones still charge and the power button lights up, the issue may be caused by another component, such as the toggle switch.

This guide requires soldering. If you're unfamiliar with soldering, review the How to Solder and Desolder Connections guide and take appropriate precautions before beginning.
What you need

Search for the left/right side of the V-moda Crossfade II Wireless.

Pinch the bottom of the ear pad and lift it up to remove it.

Remove all six 10.1 mm screws that secure the left driver assembly to the frame with a Phillips screwdriver.

Lift off the driver assembly with care not to strain the connected wire.

To reassemble your device, follow the above steps in reverse order.
For optimal performance, after completing this guide, calibrate your newly installed battery.
