Introduction

You may need to replace the light mount on your bicycle because the light has burned out or you require a brighter light. This guide shows the proper steps to install a replacement Light Mount for a Trek 820 (or similar) bicycle. No tools are necessary for this easy repair.

What you need

1. Step 1 Light Mount
  Clean the area where the light mount will be installed with a soft cloth.

2. Step 2
  Remove the strap from the light mount fitting.
  
  Stretch the strap clockwise around the handlebars.

4. Step 3
  Slide the strap through the slot and fasten to a snug, but moveable fit.
  
  Do not fasten too tight as this will make it difficult to fine tune light mount placement.

  Pull the strap tightly through the clasps at the bottom of the mount.

  Place the fastening screw in the rear screw port on the light mount.
  
  Twist the screw clockwise using your hands until fully fastened.
