Introduction

This guide will show users how to replace the memory (RAM) from the Toshiba Dynabook.

What you need

Step 1 Battery

Push apart the two spring loaded plastic tabs labeled #1 and #2.
Make sure to unplug any external power sources before working on the computer.

The battery is now easily removed by pulling up from the notched tab on the inside edge.

Remove the 4.5 mm screw labeled 4 and lift up panel from the vented 2" x "4 memory cover in the middle of the computer.

Gently pull apart the two metal support clips on either side of the chip to release from the socket. It will spring upwards when it is properly released.

Gently pull the chip out of the clips.
Touching the contacts or the chips on the board could destroy the components.
