What you need

    • Using a hair dryer, apply heat evenly around the edges of the back of the phone. This will loosen the adhesive and allow you to remove the back panel.

    • As you're heating up the phone, begin to pry open the back starting from the middle, and going to the corners.

    • Do not apply heat in one area for too long.

    • Disconnect the battery from the motherboard using an opening tool or spudger.

    • Lift the black tabs on either side of the battery

    • Lift the pull tab at the bottom to unseat the battery.

    • After unseating the battery with the pull tab, lift it out of the case.

    • Use caution handling the battery. It is extremely delicate.

    • Remove the battery entirely.

    • Do not dispose of your old battery in a regular trash can. Please bring your phone battery to a local home depot, best buy, or staples for safe disposal and recycling in the US and Canada. Other places in the world, please contact your local recycling centers.
