Introduction
This guide demonstrates how to replace the charging port in a Sony SRS-XB23 portable Bluetooth speaker. The charging port supplies power to the battery and is essential for the device to function properly.
This replacement may be needed when the charging port is damaged or broken, or if the device is no longer charging, but the battery is still working. It may also be needed if the charging cord is always very loose when plugged into the speaker.
Before beginning this repair, check the inside of the charging port for debris. If you notice it is dirty, the How to Clean the Ports on Your Electronic Device guide will show you how to clean it properly and avoid damage to your device.
Before you start, ensure your Sony SRS-XB23 Bluetooth speaker is powered off and disconnected from the charger.

Use the heavy-duty spudger to pry one of the tabs holding the end cap to the speaker body.

Repeat to remove the other end cap.

Lift the top speaker driver from the device.
