Introduction
Go to step 1 ↓If you need to replace the front panel of this device, use this guide to safely replace them if you are experiencing issues with the volume, bluetooth, or even the power button which also serves for pairing devices. Be mindful of ensuring that the speaker is powered off before proceeding with the necessary repairs. Keep in mind that opening the Sony SRS-XB21 could affect the device's overall integrity.

Gently run an opening tool along the seam where the grille meets the body.

Lift the grille off slowly.

Remove the four screws from the corners of each speaker using a Phillips #1 screwdriver.

Remove the three screws from each endcap using a Phillips #1 screwdriver.

Pull up the speaker housing carefully, as there are wires still connected.

Disconnect all of the cables connected to the speaker.
