Introduction
I've had these babies since the 80s. Not the greatest headphones -- just speakers stuck into cups. But they're fine for podcasts or audible books. One of the internal speakers came loose on mine which resulted in a rattle and diminished volume as it was no longer pressed to the ear grill. I had the hardest time opening up the cups, and when I realized why decided I would post this so my shipwreck can be your lighthouse.

The cups are fastened with a single phillips head screw at the base. What I did was to try prying all the way around the cup, met resistance at the bottom, but successfully pried the top end (where the wire enters) free. I was really trying hard to pry the whole thing off when I discovered I could pivot the cup and discovered the screw.
