Introduction
This guide will help you to replace the battery inside the Sony Alpha 5100 camera. You don’t need any tools for this guide.
Slide the on/off switch to “off” to power off your device. To assure yourself it's off, check that no screens are still on and no lights on the device are flashing either.
Before inserting a new battery, make sure the battery holder is free of dust. Make sure all metal contacts are clean of rust and other damage because this could be a problem later on.

Slide the power switch on the top of the camera to "off."

Turn the camera over to the bottom, and push the latch towards the side marked "open" to release the battery cover.

Push the blue spring-loaded lever to release the battery.

Remove the battery from the camera.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
