Examine the back of the strap to locate the seam.

Gently unthread the stitches from the back, and work your way to the front with the seam ripper.

Let's begin with the threading process.

To begin, thread the needle by passing the thread through its eye.

Then, align the unstitched strap with the old stitching onto the shoe, as this will act as your guide.

Once it's aligned, use the previous stitching holes as a guide to begin stitching.

After completing the process, proceed to tie the thread.
