Introduction

Replacing the battery on your Shark Vertex Pro (model IZ682H) is required from time to time, as the battery is what provides power to the vacuum. Without a charged, working battery, the shark will not function.

Before using this guide, please look over the battery and verify it is not damaged or corroding. A damaged or corroded battery needs to be disposed of safely and a new battery must be obtained.

This manual illustrates the removal of the battery for charging, or replacement if it is no longer accepting a charge.

Step 1 Battery

On the bottom of the device handle, you will find a button on the left side. Press and hold this button.

While holding the button, slide the battery out of the device.
If the battery needs replacing, you can find one on the Shark website.
