Guide on how to replace the locking pin and spring.

  1. Shark Stick Vacuum lock Pin Replacement, lock Pin: step 1, image 1 of 1

    • Also note ifixit forced me to crop the image so some of it is cut off??

    • NOTE: There is a screw under one of the front rollers!

    • use T20 security bit to remove screws.

    • use a T10 security bit

    • carfuly pry off top plastic plate. I cracked it, so be careful.

    • note: I made a typo in the image. should say "spring"

    • reference image. in next step we will put the pin back in

    • remove plastic cap on wheel. You a drill bit to cut a large hole on the end. we will use this hole to insert the pin.

    • put the white plastic piece into position and insert the pin through the hole we drilled in the wheel. ensure the spine end goes in first and the pin is full seated.

    • put spring onto the nub. and reassemble vacuum.
