Introduction

This guide will show you how to remove the back wheels and axle of a Sanitaire SC684 Vacuum and replace them. For this you will need a replacement back wheel and axle part for a Sanitaire SC684. The wheels come attached with the axle and are removed and replaced together.

What you need

1. Step 1 Back Wheels
  Be sure to unplug the vacuum before disassembling to prevent electric shock.
  
  Lay the vacuum on its side.
  
  Remove the two screws with the Phillips #1 screwdriver that are securing the axle of the back wheels.
  
  Repeat for the other wheel.

3. Step 2
  Pull the wheel's axle towards you and replace back wheels.
  
  The wheels come as a unit with the wheel's axle.
