Introduction
Use this guide to remove, clean, and refit the dispenser drawer on a Samsung washing machine. The dispenser drawer, detergent drawer, or soap drawer holds detergent and fabric conditioner, and it can build up residue, residue, and mold over time. Cleaning it periodically helps keep the machine hygienic and helps prevent residue from washing onto clothes. This guide was written for a Samsung Ecobubble washing machine, and other Samsung models may have minor differences.

Keep the button pressed and pull the drawer straight out of the washing machine.

-
Check the dispenser drawer for detergent residue, conditioner residue, residue, gunge, and mold.
-
Lift out the blue cover if residue is trapped underneath it.
-
Use a brush with hot, soapy water to scrub the removed drawer and blue cover.

Clean until the compartments are clear of buildup.
-
-
Step 5 Clean the drawer cavity
-
Inspect the dispenser drawer cavity inside the washing machine before refitting the drawer.

-

Line up the dispenser drawer with the grooves in the drawer opening.
-
Slide the drawer straight in until it seats fully.
-
-
Step 7 Check the drum seal
-
Open the door and check the rubber seal inside the drum for mold, residue, and debris.
-
Use a cleaning cloth to wipe the rubber seal clean.
-
-
Step 8 Flush the washing machine
-
Plug the washing machine back in when all cleaning is complete and the area is dry.
-
Run the hottest available wash program, such as a 90 °C Cotton cycle or the Drum Clean option.
-
The dispenser drawer should now slide in and out smoothly, and the drawer area should be cleaner for future washes. Repeat this cleaning periodically to reduce detergent residue, conditioner buildup, mold, and laundry odors. Repair didn't go as planned? Ask our Answers community for help.
