Put the phone face down so that the battery cover is showing.

Use your thumb to push the cover down and off.
Lift the battery off the device.

Remove the five screws with a size 00 screwdriver. There 4 in the corners and one on the top as shown.

Be sure that all 5 screws are removed and start to carefully remove the back cover by using the iPod Opening Tool in the slots on the bottom of the device.
Note: some force must be applied when removing back cover.

Detach the tab from the logic board by using iPod Opening Tool (as shown).

Use iPod Opening Tool to lift the green logic board carefully.
Remove logic board from the device and replace with new one.
