Introduction

If you have followed the steps on our troubleshooting page and find that your memory sticks are bad. Then, this guide will help you replace them.

What you need

1. Step 1 Battery
  Lay the laptop down so that the bottom is facing up.

2. Step 2
  Slide the two plastic tabs to the opposing sides.

3. Step 3
  While both are in the unlocked position, slide the battery out.

1. Step 4 Hard drive and memory stick cover
  Remove the M2.5x5 mm screw with a Phillips #0 screwdriver.

  Slide the cover 1/4" towards the front of the laptop.

  Then, lift the cover off.

1. Step 7 RAM
  Gently push the lock springs outwards and the RAM stick will rise when it's free.

  Then, gently pull the RAM stick towards the front of the laptop.

  Repeat the last two steps for the second RAM stick if needed.
