Introduction

This guide will provide instructions on how to fully replace the battery on a Samsung N145 laptop. You will be given steps on how to detach the current fan on your device and attach a new one. You will want to perform this replacement if your current laptop fan is broken/damaged, or if the device begins to overheat.

What you need

Step 1 Fan

Before starting the replacement, turn off the device sure and disconnect all cords.
Close the device, lay it face down, and remove the battery.

Remove the back of the device from the main frame by unscrewing the 14 4.5 mm screws using a Phillips #0 screwdriver.
Once all screws are out, pry open the back cover piece of the device using a plastic opening tool.

Remove the four 6.5 mm screws that surround the fan using the PH1 Phillips screwdriver head.

Manually remove the fan from the device by pulling out the connector.
