Introduction
This is a guide detailing the removal and replacement of the rear camera for the Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro, model numbered SM-6715U. The rear camera is the primary imaging sensor on the back of the phone that can be used to take pictures or record videos. Replacement for this part of the Xcover Pro may be necessary if the phone is failing to show images, record videos, or if the camera only shows black when it is booted up. Before moving onto replacement, be sure to see if the problem can be fixed without deconstructing the phone. Some small problems that may cause your Xcover Pro's rear camera to not work could be a simple software glitch or app glitch, that can usually be solved through restarting the device or updating the device to its newest version. Before beginning, make sure that the device is powered off and that battery is removed before taking the screen off. After finishing the repair, make sure to reassemble all parts of the phone back into the device before testing to see if the rear cameras functions have been restored.
