Go to step 1 ↓This is a guide detailing the removal and replacement for the battery of the Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro, model number SM-6715U. The battery powers the device and allows for normal function on a day to day basis. To constitute the XCover Pro for battery replacement, you may be finding it impossible to turn on the device, or it may struggle to keep a charge for an extended period of time. Be cautious, damaging a battery can cause it to swell up and explode if handled incorrectly. Before beginning, ensure the battery is not swollen by inspecting the shape of the back cover.

Wedge either a fingernail or opening tool into the notch and pull the back cover of the device off, revealing the battery bay.

Place an opening tool or finger in the gap at the bottom of the battery bay, and use leverage to remove the battery from the device.
