Saeco Intelia Maintenance

Introduction

Go to step 1 ↓

This will keep clear the passage from the milk to your coffee, eliminating bacteria and blockage. So save money and have better health.

These instructions may also help with other Saeco models and with coffee makers from Philips and Gaggia—they are all made by the same manufacturer and have a very similar design.

    1. Saeco Intelia Maintenance, Switch the carafe tube: step 1, image 1 of 1
      • Switch the clear soft tube they have in the carafe for a hard syringe tube. You can clear it out by pushing the plunger through and clear out the tube. Mine has lasted 2 years already and I can replace it for $1.

    2. Saeco Intelia Maintenance, Milk collects here: step 2, image 1 of 1
      • This hole (the lower one) gets filled on both ends with dried milk. Soak it in warm water for 5 minutes so the milk becomes loose.

    3. Saeco Intelia Maintenance, Vacuum out the hardened milk in the carafe.: step 3, image 1 of 1
      • Take off the rubber ring so it won't get sucked into the vacuum. Put the running vacuum up to the small so its sealed. Pour water into the head and suck it through the passage. Tada! No blocked carafes anymore.

    4. Saeco Intelia Maintenance, Keep out bugs!: step 4, image 1 of 2 Saeco Intelia Maintenance, Keep out bugs!: step 4, image 2 of 2
      • Bugs invaded my machine because the cup warmer gave them a nice home. Unplug it nightly. To kill them use white vinegar so you wont poison yourself. (Those are only a few of the bugs in my machine last week)
