Ryobi P277 Trigger Replacement - iFixit Repair Guide

Introduction

This guide will instruct the user on replacing the trigger of the Ryobi P277. This guide does require soldering and removing electrical components.

What you need

1. Step 1 Trigger
  Lay the device on its side.
  
  Remove eight 5 mm screws using a TR10 Torx screwdriver.
  
  Separate the two halves by pulling up on the top half.
  
  The two halves are still attached, so use caution when opening the device.

3. Step 2
  Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove this bracket.

4. Step 3
  Locate the red and black wires connecting the trigger to the motor.
  
  Use a soldering iron to separate these wires from the trigger.

Conclusion

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order. You must use solder to reattach the wires in their correct positions.
