Introduction

Follow this guide to replace the floodlight on the Ring Floodlight Cam. The floodlights are a key component of the Ring Floodlight Cam, providing the light for the device. This guide includes cutting, so a knife or sharp tool is required, such as flush cutters. A set of needle-nose pliers is also required. This guide is at an easy to intermediate skill level, and requires an estimated 10 minutes.

Disclaimer - This guide requires removing weather proofing for the device, so certain adhesives may have to be reapplied.

What you need

Step 1 Base Plate

Remove the acorn cap nuts from the device.

Lift the device and remove the baseplate.

Step 3 Floodlight

Cut the zip ties surrounding the wires.
This step is not necessary if the zip ties were previously cut during the installation of the device.

Step 4

Remove the wire connectors. This step requires pinching the wire connector at the elongated edges, until the wire connector returns to a circular shape. When putting wire connectors back on, pinch the circular shape until it returns to the original elongated shape.
