Introduction
This guide will show you how to dismantle the laptop in order to reestablish loose connection between the monitor and laptop of a Compaq Presario CQ60 Notebook PC .
What you need

Remove the 6 outer screws on the underside of the laptop.

Open the battery compartment and remove the 7 visible screws.

Pry the corners of the bezel at the base of the keyboard, pushing up until it loosens.

Carefully remove the ribbon connections of the keyboard, power button, and wifi button.

Disconnect and re-connect the white monitor ribbon located on the left side to make sure it sits firmly in the connection.

Reassemble the laptop by following these steps in reverse.

The monitor should work when powered on again.
