What you need

    • Using a pair of sharp scissors, carefully trim away any loose threads or frayed fabric from the strap and the material it was attached to.

    • Clean the Velcro strap and the corresponding area on the backpack with a cloth dampened with mild soap and water.

    • Measure and cut an 18-inch length of thread.

    • Thread one end of the thread through the eye of a sewing needle.

    • When finished, tie a secure knot on the inside of the fabric and trim the excess thread.
