What you need

    • Start one one side by sliding the pry tool into the shoulder of the bottom cap of the case to release the rear clips.

    • Work your way down the side, towards the LED ring in order to release the front clip.

    • Repeat this on the other side. The black inner plastics may slightly pop out at this point.

    • Now with the inner black plastics released, grab the bottom case with one hand, and grab the flipping lid with your other. Pull them apart in a straight motion. (The inner plastics do not need to curve around anything)

    • Circled in blue are the clips we released, in case you can't find them.

    • Circled in red; Remove these four screws. They are what hold the two halves of the internal plastics together. Make sure to place them somewhere safe.

    • Now we can split the plastics apart.

    • You may need to use tweezers or a fingernail to pry at the plastic flap near the shoulder (boxed in green) to get it started.

    • Here you can see that the plastic backing for the right earbud (left side of this photo) has broken and is missing.

    • To repair, reinsert the pogo pin daughterboard, and hold it tight. Flip the case over to make sure the pins are fully seated, then flip it back onto your workarea.

    • Use tweezers or a toothpick to put pressure on the board to hold it in place, while you apply some hot glue or super glue to resecure the board.

    • If you use super glue, make sure to not get any in the pogo pins!

    • The second photo: In the green box shows the wiring path. The wires should go through this gap in the plastic, in order to not be pinched when the case is put back together.

    • When you put the two halves back together, make sure these wires for the pogo pins do not get pinched! Refer to the last step to see how the wires should go.
