Introduction

If your Redragon Sniper Pro M801-RGB won't connect to your computer or turn on at all, then you may need to replace the battery. Follow each step within this guide to replace the battery.

The battery in the Redragon Sniper Pro is what powers the mouse. A faulty battery may cause the mouse to not connect to your computer or cause the LED lights to not light up.

[Warning] Before you begin, make sure the mouse is powered off. Check the power switch on the back and see that it is set to “Off.”

On the underside of the mouse, use a jimmy to remove all four skates.
If you intend to reuse the mouse skates, be sure to avoid tearing or warping them during removal.

Using a Phillips #0 screwdriver, remove the 5 screws (one 2.5mm screw and four 9.0 mm screws).

Open up the mouse without disconnecting wires.

Optional: Wrap the anti-static wrist strap snugly around your wrist.
Attach the black grounding wire connector to one of the grounding nodes on the portable anti-static mat.
If you do not have the anti-static mat, attach the metal alligator clip to an external unpainted metal part like a faucet or a shelf.

Step 5

Using an iFixit opening tool, wedge out the square 1000 mAH Lithium Ion battery from the bottom half and disconnect the wires connecting the battery to the rest of the mouse.
After connecting a new battery with the wires, use an adhesive on the new battery and stick it inside the slot.
