Introduction

The scroll wheel of a mouse is an important part for many quality of life and supplementary features in many programs and video games. While the mouse may still be usable, a malfunctioning scroll wheel can make scrolling websites, zooming, and using many other features difficult. This replacement guide walks you through replacing the Redragon Impact M908's scroll wheel.

Additionally, we use a metal spudger; however, any flat object with a pointed edge will work. Before beginning, ensure your mouse is unplugged from all devices.

What you need

Step 1 TEFLON Feet Pads

Make sure your mouse is unplugged from all devices.
Pick up your mouse and flip it over.
Reposition the mouse so that the four feet pads are facing you.

Place the pointed edge of a spudger under the corner of one of the feet pads.
Press the tool forward, lifting the foot pad until it is fully removed.

Repeat the process in step two for the other three feet pads.

Unscrew the right-hand 3mm screw using a Phillips #000 screwdriver.
Unscrew the remaining four 4mm screws using a Phillips #00 screwdriver.

Step 5

Lift the mouse's top and remove it from the bottom.
Place the top to the side, out of the way.
The top does not need to be fully removed from the base, and it can be set aside with the connecting cables attached.
