Introduction

This guide will show you how to replace the scroll wheel of the Razer Orochi V2. The scroll wheel is used to scroll and can also be used to click. You may want to replace the scroll wheel if you're experiencing unresponsive clicking, scrolling, or if the rubber has worn off. Overall this in not a very difficult replacement to perform, but you should be gentle when removing the scroll wheel as to not damage the plastic part where it inserts.

Step 1 Battery

Remove the top shell of the mouse.

Remove the old battery and replace it with a new battery.

Remove the four 4 mm screws that secure the top cover using a 1.5mm Hex Screwdriver.

Position the plastic opening tool above the side buttons and lift to remove the top cover.
Use caution when pulling off the top cover as the wires are still connected.
Disconnect the bundled cable connector, by pulling gripping all of the wires and gently pulling, rocking side to side until the connector comes out of the socket.
