    • Use the iFixit opening tool to pry the circuit module off and carefully remove the circuit module with precision tweezers (dull).

how does the last part separate? what is the purpose of cleaning the buttons, if you leave them stuck together with coca-cola? You stopped at the hardest part. is this because you also could not separate them ? do they break if you go further? logic? sticking buttons. leave them together, makes sense i get it you now go buy a real mouse that is the lesson. very well done.
