Ray-Ban Aviator RB3025 Temple Arm Replacement

Introduction

Go to step 1 ↓

This guide shows how to replace a temple arm (temple) on Ray-Ban Aviator RB3025 sunglasses. Each temple is attached to the metal front by a hinge with one screw.

The RB3025 is made in several lens sizes and colours. Read the code printed on the inside of the temple arm (for example RB3025 001 58□14) and take a photo of it before ordering, so that the new temple matches the frame.

Replacement temples are sold as original Ray-Ban temples and as compatible (non-original) temples without the Ray-Ban logo.

      • Open the glasses and rest them on a light-coloured cloth with the hinge in view.

      • Lift the old temple arm out of the hinge.

    2. Ray-Ban Aviator RB3025 Temple Arm Replacement, Fit the new temple and adjust the tip: step 2, image 1 of 1
      • Place the new temple in the hinge with the holes lined up. The curved tip must point down and inwards, like the tip of the other temple.

      • Insert the screw and tighten it until the temple is held firmly but still opens and closes smoothly.

      • Try the glasses on. If one side sits differently, bend the temple tip gently, in small steps.

      • Overtightening makes the hinge stiff and can strip the screw.

Conclusion

If you are replacing both temples, do one at a time: the temple still fitted shows the correct position and curve for the new one.
