Opening the Logicom M bot tab 100

Introduction

Go to step 1 ↓

This guide shows you how to open the Logicom M Bot Tab 100 tablet.

During this guide, it is possible that differences may be visible; this is due first to the different sub-models and also because my device has already been disassembled and its motherboard has served as a training motherboard.

Note: If you need to replace a component on this device such as the battery, ensure you have the necessary tools and knowledge to perform soldering. Because, yes... unfortunately, the battery, like the speakers and the vibrator, are soldered.

What you need

Tools

      • During the opening procedure, the back cover may resist. In this case, do not be afraid to apply slight force, while being careful not to damage any parts.

      • Do not insert an opening pick or any other tool on the side where the buttons and ports are located. The motherboard could be damaged.

      • Insert the Jimmy between the two halves.

      • Then, use your Jimmy to pry and release the first snap fit.

      • During this operation, be careful not to break the screen or injure yourself if the tool slips out of place.

      • Using the gap created with the Jimmy, insert an opening pick, then remove the Jimmy.

      • Next, slide the opening pick to continue unclipping the rear case.

      • For now, do not insert any opening pick near the connectors and buttons to avoid any hardware damage.

      • During this step, be sure to hold the device firmly.

      • Once the rear case is unclipped everywhere except near the connectors, remove the opening pick, then lift the case with your hand to unclip it entirely.

      • Next, you can remove the rear case completely. There you go, you are finished!

      • In the 2nd image, we can see that some components (battery, speakers, etc.) are missing. That is normal, do not worry: my device was already used to retrieve the motherboard. It served as a practice motherboard for me.
