Introduction
Go to step 1 ↓Method for opening a Cozmo Light Cube. This can be used if it has been exposed to water, for example, or if the battery has leaked and you need to clean up electrolyte crystals.

Using a spudger (if possible), press on each of the 4 sides to release the snap fits on the top part of the cube (the side opposite the side where the battery is located).

Once the 4 snap fits are unlocked, separate the two parts of the cube.

Place the top part with the spring contacts aside to proceed to step 2.

Using an appropriate tool, straighten the 8 small translucent plastic tabs that hold the circuit board in place.

Use a scalpel to cut the 2 heat-staked alignment pins. In the photo, the one on the left is already cut (large arrow), and the one on the right is about to be.

Separate the circuit board from the top part of the cube; there are no wires, as all components are soldered directly onto the circuit.
