Introduction

The air compressor is a very crucial component to the ventilator since it is responsible for delivering the filtered air from the machine to the breathing apparatus on the patient. This guide will help users to replace the air compressor from the main cart. Replacement is recommended if the air compressor is showing a lower pressure than normal.

For more information on replacing the compressor, please refer to page 9-31 (section 9.7) in the technical manual.

What you need

Step 1 Compressor

Ensure the device is powered off and unplugged
Disconnect any wires or components that are plugged in prior to repair

Step 2

Tap the back end of a flat head screwdriver with a hammer to wedge the side trim pieces away from the machine.

Use the flat head screwdriver to pry off and remove the side panels
When prying off the panels, do so carefully so that you do not to scratch or damage them
When reassembling the side panels, make sure that the connectors snap back into place.
Remove the mounting hardware from the compressor on the cart
