Introduction
Follow this guide to replace the battery in your Nokia 2780 Flip.
Over time, rechargeable lithium-ion batteries degrade naturally. This can lead to a shorter battery life, slower device performance, and unexpected shutdowns. Nokia batteries are rated to deliver up to 18 days of standby time and up to 7 hours of talk time on a single charge, lasting up to 2-3 years. If you notice your Nokia needs to be charged frequently, doesn't hold a charge, or is slow during use, it could be time to replace the battery to restore normal performance.
Before starting this repair, ensure the device is powered off and unplugged from any charging source.
Caution: Be very careful when handling the battery, especially if it appears swollen or smells strange. A swollen battery can catch fire or explode. Follow the suggestions found in the What to do with a swollen battery wiki for helpful tips and safety information.
