How to Perform a Hard Reset on the Nintendo DS Lite

This guide does not fully reset the console to factory reset modes, but it is used for game and software crashes.

NOTE: Doing this while a game is running may cause you to lose any data during that gameplay session.

  1. Nintendo DS Lite Soft Reset, Turn off the console: step 1, image 1 of 1

    • Turn off the console by going to the side with the power switch sliding it towards the screen.

    • Wait at least 10 seconds.

    • Turn the system back on by pushing the power switch towards the screen just like in Step 1. Your DS Lite should be working normally now.
