Turn the power off on the camera by turning the power dial.

Open the battery compartment on the bottom of the camera by sliding the release button.
This will release the door and you will be able to open it.

Push in the yellow tab to release the battery.
Slowly pull the battery out of the camera.
When putting the new battery in, do not force it in, it should go in smooth and easily.
