What you need

    • Remove the battery before beginning disassembly.

    • Use a 2.5 hex bit head screwdriver to remove the six 14 mm outermost screws located on each end of the speaker.

    • Insert an pry tool underneath the red decal located on the side of the speaker.

    • Pry up slowly to unclip the two clips, one under each end of the decal, that are holding it to the speaker and remove the decal.

    • Use a Phillips #2 screwdriver to remove the three 14 mm screws that were underneath the red decal, and the two screws above the battery port.

    • Remove the four 14 mm Phillips #2 screws that are in the corners holding the front speaker cover.

    • Insert a pry tool in between the speaker cover and the speaker and gently pry the front speaker cover off of the speaker.

    • Remove the speaker cover.

    • Use a Phillips #2 screwdriver to remove the five 14 mm screws on the ends of the speaker box.

    • Use a Phillips #2 screwdriver to remove the eleven 14 mm screws securing the driver assembly.

    • Use a pry tool and gently pry the driver housing up.

    • Lift the driver housing with care not to strain or damage the connected cables.

    • Disconnect the two driver JST connectors.

    • Disconnect the driver assembly ribbon cable.

    • Fully remove the driver assembly.

    • Use a Phillips #2 screwdriver to remove the eight 14 mm screws securing the two main drivers.

    • Desolder the wires that are connected to the main speakers as shown.

    • Use caution while using the soldering iron.

    • Gently remove the drivers.
