Introduction
If a key on your Microsoft LXM-00001 device feels loose, sticks, fails to spring back, or won’t register presses, use this guide to replace the affected keycap. Keycaps can crack or lose their hinge mechanism, which leads to inconsistent or difficult typing. Power off and disconnect the device to avoid accidental input during the repair, and use the correct tools to prevent damage.
What you need

Position a nylon spudger under one side of the keycap.

Lift straight up by using a steady and even force to remove the keycap.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
