If your Marshall Uxbridge speaker (model 1005605) isn't connecting to Bluetooth after using this troubleshooting guide Marshall Uxbridge Can't Connect to Bluetooth, use this guide to replace the LinkPlay board.

The LinkPlay board connects the speaker to Bluetooth. A faulty board will cause the speaker to lose connection with the Bluetooth device.

Before using this guide, inspect the device for debris and dust. Usually, a small amount of dust can be cleaned by following these steps

Before beginning, make sure to completely power off the device and unplug from the power source.

What you need

    • Orient your speaker so that the back is facing you.

    • Use a Phillips #2 screwdriver to remove the six 19mm screws from the back plate.

    • Use an iFixit opening pick to remove and lift the back plate to expose the connected wires.

    • Detach the white connector from inside the bottom of the back panel.

    • Detach the small red and white connectors from the motherboard on the left side of the back panel.

    • Pull the blue ribbon cables from the motherboard.

    • Remove the back panel from the speaker base.

    • Use a Phillips #1 screwdriver to remove the six 12 mm screws from the motherboard.

    • Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the two 6 mm black screws holding the black board that says "LinkPlay" in place.

    • Use a TR 6 Torx screwdriver to remove the two silver 6 mm screws from the LinkPlay board.

    • Lift the motherboard.

    • Slide the LinkPlay board down to remove the motherboard from the back panel.

    • Detach the two antennas that connect the LinkPlay to the speaker's back panel.
