Introduction

This is an older computer, but it is still usable if you do some upgrades to it.
I have one now that I'm creating these guides with, and I'm waiting on parts to do the rest

What you need

1. Step 1 Open the back cover
  Start by taking out the battery and charger. No power should be connected.
  
  Unscrew the 4 Phillips #1 screws marked in the photo.
  
  This screw is hidden under the Warranty void sticker!
  
  All screws are the same length, so don't worry about mixing them up
  
  Use a spudger or your finger to gently but firmly open the cover.
  
  It's stuck in there with clips, so be a little careful. (Remember; If you feel like you're using too much force, you probably are).

3. Step 2 Identify the WiFi card and remove
  The WiFi card has two antenna cables (one white and one black).
  
  Use a spudger to carefully unhook the antenna contacts.
  
  Unscrew the Phillips #0 screw holding the WiFi card down. (This is not the same screw as the others).

4. Step 3 Replace WiFi card
  Take the old card out of the mini PCI Express slot, and replace with a new and compatible card.
  
  In my case I only had a direct replacement, which only supports 802.11b/g standards.
