Lexmark MS415 Printer Repair - Toner Cartridge Cannot Be Inserted

Introduction

Go to step 1 ↓

The toner cartridge gets stuck on the right side when inserting, meaning it cannot be pushed in completely.

      • Possible cause of the error: The imaging drum has a small flap on the upper right side that automatically opens when the toner cartridge is inserted to establish the connection to the cartridge.

      • Due to aging, the foam seal underneath may have become so weak that the flap drops slightly lower. It then no longer opens automatically when inserting the toner cartridge.

      • Workaround: Pull out the imaging drum, unhook the spring that closes this flap, and leave the flap open. The toner cartridge can then be inserted without any problems.
