Introduction
The removal of the bottom panel is the first step in many of our guides for the Lenovo ThinkPad T470S. The removal of the bottom panel will allow you access to many things including the 2 batteries, the RAM, the SSD (hard drive), the fan, and the CPU. Once the bottom panel is removed many of these items can be cleaned and/or replaced.
What you need

Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the five 7 mm screws from the bottom of the laptop.

Lift the bottom panel up and off the laptop.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
