Introduction

What you need

1. Step 1 Back Cover
  Make sure the computer has been shut down before proceeding.
  
  Place the computer upside down on a flat surface.
  
  Remove ten 5mm screws with the Phillips #00 screwdriver.

2. Step 2
  Pry up the latches using an opening pick.
  
  Remove the lower case to show the internal components of the computer.

1. Step 3 Fan
  Disconnect the battery pack cable from the system board.
  
  Use your fingernails to pull the connector to unplug it. Do not pull the cable.

2. Step 4
  Remove the two 3.5 mm screws from the fan using a Phillips #00 screwdriver.
  
  Use tweezers to unplug the wiring connectors that are connected to the fan.
  
  Gently remove the fan from the laptop.
