Lenovo ThinkBook 14-IIL Trackpad Replacement

Remove the 5.3mm screws using your Phillips #0 screwdriver.

Gently pry off the back of the laptop by inserting an opening pick into the crease on the sides and gently sliding while lifting the case up.

Unplug the battery from the laptop carefully as to not damage the plug.

Remove the 3.8mm screws holding the battery down using a Phillips #0 screwdriver.

Pull away the red and black wire out of the channel next to the battery.

Remove the battery from the laptop by lifting it up and out of the frame.

Remove the 5.3mm screws from the fan using a Phillips #0 screwdriver.

Unplug the fan from the motherboard.

Pull up the wires next to the fan.

Remove the fan from the laptop carefully while being mindful of the wires.

Unplug the eight wires from the motherboard.

Remove the three 2.3mm screws from the motherboard using a Phillips #0 screwdriver.

Remove the 2.3mm screw holding the bracket down onto the motherboard with a Phillips #0 screwdriver.

Remove the two 2.3mm screws holding the right hinge with a Phillips #0 screwdriver.

Gently pull the hinge holding the motherboard down into an open position.

Gently remove the motherboard from the laptop by lifting it carefully upwards like a latch.

Peel back the foil to reveal the 2.4mm screws on both lower sides on the trackpad and remove them using a Phillips #0 screwdriver.

Remove the bracket.

Remove the 1.9mm screws that hold the trackpad down to the frame using a Phillips #0 screwdriver.

Unplug the wire connected to trackpad.

Remove the trackpad by lifting it up from underneath.
