Introduction

In order to remove and replace the power button on your tablet, a soldering iron will be needed.

What you need

Step 1 Power Button

Use a plastic opening tool to pry open the back cover of the tablet.

Tweezers

The power button strip is only held in place by a small piece of double-sided tape.
Gently use the precision tweezers to separate the power button strip from the interior frame of the tablet.

Be careful with the soldering iron to avoid injury.
Remove the power button from the motherboard.
Use the soldering iron to heat up the connections. Gently pull away from the motherboard after connections are detached.
