Introduction
The Lenovo G560 has a 6-cell battery that fits snugly on the underside of the computer, directly under the screen. Battery removal is considered a crucial first step to any further repair or disassembly.

Turn off the computer.

Disconnect the charging cable from the computer.

Flip the computer upside down.

To reassemble your battery, line up the battery and slide it in until the second lock (left hand switch) clicks. Then lock the 1st switch.
