What you need

  1. Lasko 2002W Motor Replacement, Remove cover: step 1, image 1 of 1
    • Remove the front cage from the fan, exposing the screws.

  2. Lasko 2002W Motor Replacement, Remove screws: step 2, image 1 of 1
    • Remove the 3 screws holding the fan on to the motor housing using a 3/16" philips head screw driver. The length of the screwdriver does not matter.

  3. Lasko 2002W Motor Replacement, Remove motor screws: step 3, image 1 of 1
    • Remove the screws holding the motor onto the fan using the same 3/16" phillips head screwdriver. There are two screws.

    • Once removed, remove the metal part the screws were holding to the motor.

  4. Lasko 2002W Motor Replacement, Remove old motor.: step 4, image 1 of 1
    • Remove the old motor from the fan. No tools are required. The motor can simply be pulled out.

    • Now that the old motor is removed, a new motor can be placed in the motor housing.
